# Migration and handoff

## TL;DR — ASD-STE100 style

- Prototype main owns requirements and generated source exports.
- The theme records its own pinned source revision and acceptance evidence.
- Review handoff changes before syncing them.

The approved [PRD](https://github.com/somavedic/somavedic-redesign-uish/blob/main/PRD.md) and [migration blueprint](https://github.com/somavedic/somavedic-redesign-uish/blob/main/docs/strategy/shopify-theme-migration-blueprint.md) define scope. The launch target is English at the root, United States primary, and USD. Canada/CAD and French-on-US are readiness fixtures.

Use the [state ledger](https://github.com/somavedic/shopify-theme-v2/blob/main/docs/migration/STATE.json) for current work and evidence. Follow the repository's prototype-sync skill and `pnpm handoff:check` before any sync. Media and story-order exports require an explicitly reviewed production snapshot; a local pre-pull backup is not a production snapshot. A handoff or specification update does not advance the runtime pin or establish acceptance.
